RACE TWO

ZARAS HEAVEN (2) has been getting closer to a victory and after finishing runner-up at 4 of her previous 6 starts, looked to get that elusive win last start. Racing tough in the breeze, she was in for the fight but had to split the spoils of victory in a dead-heat result. Finding the front, this might be her chance.

TIMELESS APPEAL (9) found her race last start here over the sprint trip and sent to the front from gate 5 was never in danger as a short-priced elect in scoring her 1^st victory for the term. That had followed a strong effort when leading them up over the AP mile and despite the gate, she can challenge.
 
DEADLY ROCKER (1) will strip fitter from his latest appearance when 1^st up from a break. Settling in a rearward position from gate 10, her didn’t really get into the contest. The improved gate is a big plus.

LETHAL STAR (3) was a winner here 3 starts back when finding the pocket trail and finishing best to claim a narrow victory. Luckless last start when forced to restrain, she can be thereabouts in this.

RACE THREE

THERESACHANCE (1) led them up from this gate last start over the sprint trip and after a nice breather through the 2^nd stanza was swamped late when 4m from the winner in a blanket finish. That followed a similar margin when he was also grabbed late. With less early pressure, he can see it out.

FUTURE STRIDE (7) has faced the starter on 3 occasions since arriving in Qld and not much has been in his favour. Forced to do it tough last start from gate 5 when working in the breeze over the AP 2138m, he faded in the latter stages. With the easy trip he can be ready to strike in the stretch here.

MISTER BLACKJACK (4) will take good benefit from his latest outing when 1^st up from a break. Angled into the running line from inside the 2^nd line, he found the line in nice order to be 3m from the winner.

CONDAFEW (6) wasn’t suited last start when sent to the breeze in a qualifier. Luckless the start prior when probing for a gap that didn’t open, he has a tricky gate but can be chiming in late.

RACE FOUR

ONLY IN ROME (2) started from gate 1 last time out over this trip when sent to the post as fav. Trying to hustle he was funky gaited and the slip up cost him the leading duties. Tucked in the trail thereafter, he lost valuable momentum behind a tiring leader, beaten 2m. He can bounce back here.

FUTURE FUN (3) took on a 2^nd division qualifier last start when eased back in the early stages and soon was too far back to offer in the latter part of the contest. His previous 2 were off the 2^nd line at Tamworth and with an improved alley here can look for a closer finish.

TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (8) had the speed to pounce on the poles last week over this trip and setting up a strong tempo, was under pressure before the home turn. Rallying to hold on for 2^nd, she can get the right trip to chime in here.

SPONDOOLEY (5) settled in the running line last start and was strong to the line when2m from the winner GUPTAS CULLEN. Finding position cheaply will be key to his closing chances in this.

RACE FIVE

MONTANA NIGHTS (7) will need his share of luck from this gate as he approaches full fitness following 4 runs back from a spell. Last start from gate 8 over the 2040m he chased valiantly to grab the silver as CC JONES dictated to an all the way win. With a rub of the green, he can arrive in an open contest.

READILY (5) settled in the running line 2 starts back from the 2^nd line and was chasing hard to grab the bronze behind ANDREW JAY. Last start he was snagged back from gate 6 over the sprint trip and was too far back to make an impact. Winless for some time, he can be in the mix against these.
 
IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (10) started fav last time out from inside the 2^nd line and wasn’t looking comfortable in the early stages. Banished to the outside draw as a result, she can work into a podium position here.

BETTING BARON (9) was forced to do the tough stuff here on Sunday night which isn’t really his caper. It was a sound effort under the circumstances and had followed some handy efforts in Sat night company. He has claims.

OURS TO KEEP (1) has placed in 3 of her 6 career starts as she looks to get the win account into the positive. Not suited last start when locked away from inside the 2^nd line over the AP mile, her run here 2 back was a forgive effort and with the move to the front-line with the available options, looks to get her chance to capitalise.

STORM GILBERT (3) started from the 2^nd line last start and was attacking the line in nice style to stretch out the far more experienced and strongly performed IM BATMAN. That was a nice bounce back following a gait break when starting in red figures 2 runs back and with his best alley in some time, can throw down a serious challenge.

LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (7) was given plenty of time to balance up last start from gate 6 when eased back in the early stages. Closing out nicely to be withing 4m of the winner, with the cosy trip, he can chime in here.

FOUR FOR FOUR (5) returned for her 3YO term with a half-neck 2^nd to the handy FOREVER ROCKING. Settling back in the pack last start, the run had merit when it turned into a last panel scamper and she is an exotic player from the tough gate.

Finding the 1x1 trail from this gate 2 starts back, he swooped past to a 4m victory and followed that with a solid closing 2^nd last start. With the right trip, he can arrive against these.

DARTESIAN (1) started from the 2^nd line here on Sunday night and worked home nicely to arrive for a narrow victory. He found them a bit sharp the start prior when locked on the pegs as JUST JOSHIN cruised home to victory. With the early options, he can be around the money again here.

WHATA STRIDE (7) wasn’t suited from gate 6 last start when restraining early and then facing a task from a long way back. With a cosy trip on offer from this gate, she can be ready to chime in.
 
PRETTYCOMPACT (5) has been in the money at her past 2 starts on the north-western NSW circuit, the latest when working home for the bronze after snagging back from gate 6 at Armidale. With even luck she has place hopes.

RACE EIGHT

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (1) was sent to the breeze last start from gate 8 and digging in for the fight was best of the chasers behind IM BATMAN. An all the way winner at Marburg 5 starts back, she hasn’t been suited form the 2^nd line at her next 3 appearances. She can look to dictate from the ace.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (5) did some work in the early stages last start from gate 6 before being forced to snag back to the rear. Working home in good order to garb the bronze when only 2m from the winner IM BATMAN, there was plenty to like about the run. Fitter from 3 runs back, he looms large in this.

SHADYS DELIGHT (7) sat in the pocket trail last start over the 2040m when grabbing the bronze behind BAMBOLE NERE. Back to the mile is a big plus and he will be coiled and ready to strike.

A BETTER CHANCE (6) was 1^st up for her 3YO term last start against some handy performers when banished to the trials. With no favours from the gate, this is a more suitable contest and she has podium claims.

Racing in great touch at present and with a strong record here on the triangle, GUPTAS CULLEN (9) can look to overcome the tricky gate and claim another victory. Pressing forward from gate 5 to find the breeze last start, she was too strong over the 1780m trip. Beaten a half-head the start prior, she can arrive again.

LETTUCEFIRESTAR (1) defied the early challengers to take up the lamp lighting duties last start from this gate over the sprint trip. Coming at a cost of a 27.2 opening panel, he was vulnerable late yet fought hard to be 2m from the winner. A nice winner here 4 starts back, he can go mighty close.

MAJOR SCORE (10) started from inside the 2^nd line last start and with the perfect trip looked set to take the closing shot when 3m in arrears of the winner. Fitter again after 3 runs back, he has claims.

BET IM SPECIAL (8) has finished with the bronze at his past 2 in succession and should secure a nice run in transit again here. Within 1.5m of the winner last start, he has podium claims once again.
