Form Analysis: Marburg Oct 05

5 October 2020

RACE TWO

Drawn a tricky inside 2nd line gate last start JILLIBY GIZMO (1) will really appreciate returning to the front line where he can utilise his early speed. Snagged back for position from gate 6 over the 2040m 2 starts back, he was game in the breeze the start prior. He will be tough to crack in front here.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (2) was making his 1st outing in Qld last start when finding the space to angle into the pocket trail from gate 3. Chasing gamely, he could not pick up the leader and winner KWASII. A Menangle winner 2 starts back, he can settle handy to the action here to challenge.

FAST IS BETTOR (3) has found her form at Redcliffe and lines up after finishing in the money at 6 of her past 7 attempts. Toiling in the breeze last start when only a head away, she might need to roll the sleeves again here.

DOMESTIC ART (6) did it the hard way here last start when sent forward to the breeze from the 2nd line. In for the fight he was 6m in arrears of the winner in claiming the bronze. He can chime in off the cosy trip.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY GIZMO (1), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (2), FAST IS BETTOR (3), DOMESTIC ART (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY GIZMO (1) to win

RACE THREE

The 2nd of the 4 Marburg to Albion heats can see GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) complete a hat-trick of victories at just his 2nd start for Taleah McMullen. Too strong when 1st-up in Qld last time out, he was sent forward and scored a tough win over the Redcliffe 1780m. A Young winner prior to arriving in the North, he should strip fitter after 6 weeks between runs and can land the loot here.

PAGO PAGO (1) sat in the running line from gate 4 last start and made some closing ground when 7m from the winner ALBION ARK. That followed a mid-field finish behind MISTER FINNIGAN and with this easier than what he has met his past 2, his chances rest on whether he has the speed to lead.

JINGLES BROMAC (4) returns from a spell after finishing down the line in successive runs prior to being sent for a break. With a tidy trial to blow out the cobwebs, he can be chiming in late here.

WATYOUSEEISWATUGET (7) looked a solid chance on Friday night at Redcliffe where she was looking to add to her numbers where she had been in the money at 6 of her previous 7. The gate stings but she can be working home.

SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), PAGO PAGO (1), JINGLES BROMAC (4), WATYOUSEEISWATUGET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) to win

RACE FOUR

ONE LAST ROLL (2)
has hit the board in 8 of his 10 here at Marburg and lands the gate to dictate. Tough in holding 2nd here 4 starts back in a similar heat after cutting the breeze, he fought hard for the bronze in the Final. Only 4m from MILLWOOD TILLY 2 starts back, he can look to take control.

SHADYS DELIGHT (1) found the 1x1 trail last start when stuck in behind the traffic and he may have been closer to the winner VENUS JUJON if a gap presented. Closing in good order the start prior to grab 2nd to LITTLELIONELJAMES, he will be looking to force into space to challenge.

MAJOR LUCKY (4) worked home wide off the track to grab 2nd to MOLLYS SECRET 2 starts back before working home in good order last start. At his 1st look here at Marburg, he will be in for the fight.

NEWMERELLA MOLLY (7) has no favours from this gate as she looks set to be buried in the early stages. Runner-up to MISTER FINNIGAN 2 starts back, she is 4 from 6 on this surface and can feature.

SELECTIONS: ONE LAST ROLL (2), SHADYS DELIGHT (1), MAJOR LUCKY (4), NEWMERELLA MOLLY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE FIVE

BONNIES CAM (6) will need some factors in his favour here but if the rub of the green is on his side, he can arrive. From inside the 2nd line last start, a gap opened to get off early and he was out, off and soon in front after 500m. Holding on to claim a tidy win, he will be hoping the gaps open to find the space for the closing shot.

MISTER DECORUM (1) found the 1x1 trail over the Redcliffe 2040m 2 starts back when packing too many guns in the closing stages to cruise past them and claim a 6m victory. Toiling in the breeze last start, he was in for the fight when 3rd to KWASII. Holding all the aces from the pole, he will look to fight them off.

CANNAN (3) worked around them from the 2nd line last start to find the breeze and was working hard when 3m in arrears of the winner FAST IS BETTOR. He can slide forward here and is in for the fight.

FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (4) eased to find position last start and angled to the pegs was looking for some short-cuts and a dash of luck along the way. 8m in arrears, the gate stings but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (6), MISTER DECORUM (1), CANNAN (3), FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This looks a tricky contest to line up with the map and a few of these searching for some form. Leaning to MAFFIOSO GIRL (5) despite the tough gate off the back of her meeting some handy performers in recent outings. Only 1m from JIVE 2 starts back after a nice run in transit, a tough run in slick time took its toll last start. She can bounce back here.

THE WARP REACTOR (1) pressed on to find the lamp lighting duties last start but it was an inglorious finish when forced to retire from the event. At his best in front, he has been to the trials for a sound hit-out but with the chance to dictate around the smaller track, he gets his chance to atone.

JEWEL OF PEAK (2) returns from a spell to a track where she is 3 from 5 and also owns the track record over this trip. Put away after fading from a tough trip last start, she claimed a Redcliffe win 3 starts back from the front and has solid claims in this 1st up.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3) claimed victory here 2 starts back in the last Marburg to Albion series when sent to the front from gate 1 and was never headed. Mid-field in the final, he can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: MAFFIOSO GIRL (5), THE WARP REACTOR (1), JEWEL OF PEAK (2), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

CAMROLLER (1) is on the short back-up from Saturday night where he looked a rough chance from gate 2. Buried away from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back, he held on for the bronze behind PACIFIC COIN. With the chance to use his early speed, this is his best gate for some time, and he can look to capitalise.

ADRENALINE RUSH (6) steps out in Qld for the 1st time since joining the Graham Dwyer barn and will be resuming from a spell. A winner at both Tamworth start over the 1980m trip prior to a break, she lands the tricky gate in this. With a smart trial to prepare, she will be searching for openings.

CALLMEDEMARO (7) looked to take them all the way last start in a 2nd division qualifier from gate 1 over the Redcliffe 2040m. Gripping on, he was nabbed in the stretch, claiming 3rd. A smart AP winner 4 starts back, he is in the mix.

DONNY JONES (3) settled in the running line from the 2nd row last time out and was strong to the line when within 3m of the winner. Runner-up his precious 2 starts; he can settle close enough to feature in this.

SELECTIONS: CAMROLLER (1), ADRENALINE RUSH (6), CALLMEDEMARO (7), DONNY JONES (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CAMROLLER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Another newcomer to the in-form Dwyer team KINGOFTHESTARS (8) arrives with handy career figures although in recent outings has found things a bit tough in Victoria. After 2 runs back from a spell, he has been sent North where he trialled in good order at Redcliffe. The gate does him no favours, but he should appreciate this line-up.

ALE ALE KAI (1) did not have things go all her way last start when down the line behind COMIGAL which had followed a tidy effort behind HANDSOME HERO after angling to the pegs for short-cuts prior to closing out nicely. Charging home 3 starts back, she lands the gate to hold all the options.

SO KOOL MASTER (6) takes his 1st look at the track and will be needing some luck on his side to find the space to make a challenge. 3rd to DAPPER in Sat night company 2 starts back, if the gaps arrive in time, he can sprint hard.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (2) was a winner here 3 starts back from the pocket trail when finding the space to make the closing shot a winner. Not that far from them last start, he can chime into the action.

SELECTIONS: KINGOFTHESTARS (8), ALE ALE KAI (1), SO KOOL MASTER (6), BEEF CITY BLAZE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KINGOFTHESTARS (8) to win

RACE ONE

ELLE JAY (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when sent to the front from this same gate and once in control was never in danger in claiming a 2m victory. Looking to lead all the way at her next start over the AP mile, she could not fight them off late. With the gate to dictate, she gets every chance.

GROOVY MISS ANNIE (7) started a red figure fav from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back when chasing her stablemate ELLE JAY but couldn’t find the space to get past. Down the line last start after striking some trouble in the run, she will be looking to work into the contest at some point.

OOZINVILLE (6) set the tempo from the two-hole at Redcliffe 2 starts back but could not see it out. Backing up from Thursday where he was disappointing he can be sharper and look for the gaps.

TEACHERS PET (5) has no favours from the wide gate here but has been thereabouts of late with placings in 5 of her past 6. Tough in the breeze when 3rd to ELLE JAY 2 starts back, she can repeat that effort to place.

SELECTIONS: ELLE JAY (1), GROOVY MISS ANNIE (7), OOZINVILLE (6), TEACHERS PET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE JAY (1) to win
