Form Analysis: Redcliffe February 19

RACE 1 

TAKE A CHANCE (3) has plenty of gate speed and drops back to a more suitable distance than when he has found the pegs recently. If he was able to find the lead he would become the horse to beat. 

GO THE RED (6) was very good running on from a long way back last start behind B Mac C. He draws wide in this race but a similar effort would likely see him in the finish. 

LAST CALL (8) finished off strongly three starts ago into second before having every chance two back only able to manage fourth. Her effort last start was certainly good enough to see her competitive in this race. 

HIGHLY RESPECTED (1) started a short priced favourite last start. Didn’t show any gate speed and was crossed early before being badly held up being the tiring leader. She finished off well once clear.

RACE 2 

HES SWEET (1) was forced to work hard last start by a horse that went on to be beaten over 100 metres. From the inside draw he should lead and give them all something to catch. 

BELL RIVER BOY (7) should get a good run through in the early stages. He has been in brilliant form and was able to score yet another win last start. 

LUXURY LAD (8) has been an improver in recent starts. He faced the breeze two back and wasn’t beaten far before running into third late last start. 

B MAC C (2) scored a good win last start when leading and controlling things. Draws a good gate again but is unlikely to find the front this time.

SUGGESTED BET: BELL RIVER BOY (7) to win. 

RACE 3

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (1) draws ideally. She has gate speed and will likely look to take them all the way. Should prove hard to beat. 

FAVREAU (9) was a very impressive second last start behind Ashlee Nitro. While he was well beaten there he worked hard and did it at both ends. 

ASHLEE NITRO (8) scored yet another Redcliffe victory last start. She should get a good run in this race and looks a chance again. 

MADAM WEST (6) worked hard last start which probably isn’t her ideal racing pattern. Her form prior was very good and despite the wide draw she can figure with the right race shape.

SUGGESTED BET: FAVREAU (9) to win. 

RACE 4 

LA SABINA (2) led two runs ago and was able to really slow them up and dash home too quickly. Looks likely to find the front again in this race and should prove hard to beat leading. 

MISTER HART (7) was held up last start until it was too late. He draws awkwardly in this race and it looks a touch tougher. 

ARTFUL MASTER (8) has come back nicely this time in. His recent placings have all been good enough to figure in a race of this nature. 

ALTANA BLUE (1) doesn’t have much gate speed at all so will need to be doing his best to hold a position early. Racing well enough.

SUGGESTED BET: LA SABINA (2) to win. 

RACE 5

GELDOF (4) looks to have found a race where he can work over and lead them up. If he can lead he would prove very hard to catch off what was a good last start win. 

JIMMY BLING (7) appears to be dropping significantly in class in this race having taken on some decent races in recent starts. He draws awkwardly and will need a lot of luck. 

CRIME TIME (2) isn’t blessed with much gate speed which could leave him working in this race. He has shown he is capable of working and still figuring in the finish. 

ROCKIN CHIKA (3) can zip over in the early stages before likely looking for a trail. Her last run was fair before an improved trial.

SUGGESTED BET: GELDOF (4) to win. 

RACE 6 

SUNNY COVE (5) has plenty of gate speed and will likely look to hold the advantage on his main rivals in this race. He scored a good win working very hardly early four starts ago when able to find the front. 

BETTORS BOY (6) has drawn to the disadvantage of his main danger in this race. He hasn’t had much luck in his first two runs back from a spell and looks to have found a more suitable race. 

LARA BAY (8) draws to get a reasonably run through early. Can be finishing off well late. 

MAGIC NITRO (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row. She has been luckless in recent starts and can finish closer in this.

SUGGESTED BET: SUNNY COVE (5) to win. 

RACE 7

RED SEAS (6) got a long way back last start and hit the line strongly late. Likely to get a long way back again from a wide gate and would appreciate a bit more tempo on. 

TOFFEE NOSE (5) was first start in QLD last start when she made a break at the start forfeiting any chance she had at victory there. Trialled up fairly leading into that run and should be thereabouts. 

KYBLAKEY STAR (2) ran into second behind Piscina last start. That looks good form for a maiden of this nature. 

TENGERRI (1) was first up last start and battled away well enough for fourth. This looks a similar race and he draws gate one.

SUGGESTED BET: RED SEAS (6) to win. 

RACE 8

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (8) was held up last start until late in the race where she launched and just couldn’t quite reel in the quinella horses. She should settle just in behind them early and can be finishing off well again. 

MELTON INSULTED (7) zipped off the gate fast last start and just wasn’t able to hold off Geldof late who secured a good run. She is likely to get a good trip in this race behind a gate speed horse and can be in the finish. 

KNOCKWARWON (1) has plenty of gate speed and looks to have found a suitable race. If he can settle nicely he should prove hard to catch. 

FEELING THE POWER (3) is always thereabouts without winning many races.
