1st Monetite 2nd Boberg 3rd Love Snack 4th- Fiamore
FIAMORE (D. Missen) began a little awkwardly and shortly after the start was further inconvenienced when OLD FLAME (A. Taylor), which had jumped awkwardly, shifted out.
At approximately the 800m BOBERG (J. Stephens) rolled in slightly, causing MONETITE (T. Bannon) to lay in and away and as a result SHY BUCK (A. Butler) was tightened and lost ground.
Approaching the 800m FIAMORE raced in restricted room between DIABLE (K. Cross) and OLD FLAME.
Approaching the 700m, FIAMORE improved on to the heels of MONETITE and had to be steadied.
Apprentice A. Butler, the rider of SHY BUCK, was reprimanded under AR. 137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip on that runner on more than five occasions prior to the 100m in a forehand manner.

CRAIGLEA GEE TEE laid in for the majority of the straight and tightened CRAIGLEA FIGHTER (J. Kropp) approaching the winning post.
When questioned regarding the racing manners of BLIND JUSTICE, jockey C. Whiteley explained that he had endeavoured to settle the filly with cover, however was unable to do so when BLIND JUSTICE raced erratically throughout and was inclined to hang in on occasions in the straight. Given the filly’s previous racing manners and its similar performance today, Trainer J. O’Shea was advised that the filly would be required to pass a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next race start.
When questioned regarding the performance of CRAIGLEA FIGHTER, owner S. Johnston explained that at its previous two starts on 25th September 2010 at Longreach the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions on that day.
