SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
MOUNT ISA RACING CLUB –Saturday 12th April 2025
Race 5: Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
Stewards today concluded an investigation into rider Amanda Thomson (PROJECT XERO) making momentary contact with the leg of rider M Gray (WINDORAH) passing the 200 metres. After consideration of all relevant factors, the Stewards determined that immediately prior to the contact being made, PROJECT XERO had shifted out abruptly, and that Ms. Thomson’s motion of extending her arm were reactionary, with the Stewards being satisfied that there was no intent in the actions. In conclusion Ms. Thomson was firmly reminded of her obligations when placed in similar circumstances. In reaching this outcome Ms. Thomson’s clear record regarding this and similar matters was considered.
