Fashions from Afar Returns for 2025

Racing Queensland (RQ) has launched Fashions from Afar for the fifth consecutive year, giving country racegoers the chance to shine off the track. The competition celebrates the tradition of race day fashion, modern millinery, and impeccable head-to-toe styling.

Event Details

The Fashions from Afar Final will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Tattersall’s Tiara Race Day, hosted by Tattersall’s Racing Club at Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Eligibility

To compete in the Final, nominees must:

• Be at least 16 years of age.

• Win (or be Runner Up, refer clause 6) at a Fashions from Afar competition held by a participating race club during a Battle of the Bush Series race meeting.

Prizes

• Female Winner: $2,500

• Female Runner Up: $1,000

• Male Winner: $2,500

• Male Runner Up: $1,000
