Racing Queensland has advised that tomorrow’s scheduled meeting at Albion Park Harness Racing Club is expected to proceed.
Earlier today, QRIC stewards made the decision to abandon races 8 and 9 at Albion Park citing ‘safety concerns’ to the suitability of the mobile barrier use.
Late this afternoon, RQ sought clarity on QRIC’s concerns from the Department of Transport and Main Roads, with the TMR assessment alleviating those concerns.
As a result of today’s abandoned races, participants will be eligible to access the RQ Abandoned Race Meeting Policy.
