Shooting for a hat-trick 2 starts back, it didn’t go to plan from gate 9 when down the line behind SABRAGE. Locked away last start, he will be coiled and ready to strike here.

SHERIFF JUJON (10) claimed a 2040m victory at Redcliffe last start when working home over the top in the closing stages to take the prize. Luckless the start prior to be within 4m of the winner when returning from a break, if he secures the right trip he can adjust the anomaly of being winless here at The Creek.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (9) started fav last time out and was doing his best work in the closing stages when 2m from the winner JUST ROKIN. Best when saved for 1 shot, he has peg-line options and will be swooping late.

CELTIC CRUZA (1) will be tightened from his latest outing when returning from a freshen. Doing too much early in a strong Redcliffe Christmas Cup field, he will appreciate this assignment and can hustle early to feature.

RACE THREE

RANDOM TASK (2) received cover last start over the 2138m and fought on well to be mid-field over the 2138m behind BALLACHULISH. 2^nd the week prior when doing plenty of work after rolling forward from gate 6 to the breeze and holding on for 2^nd, he gets every chance to capitalise over the mile here.

TULHURST SANTANNA (6) is knocking on the door and if there are any Random chinks, he can be there to exploit them. DAPPER (4) went to the pegs last start from the 2^nd line and looking for some luck and gaps, they didn’t really open. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he can be around the money here.

RACE FOUR

AQUA MISS (4) didn’t have much go her way last start when stuck looking for position and caught doing plenty of work wide off the track. 2 starts back when 2^nd up from a break and securing the perfect run in transit, she was too sharp up the passing lane. Securing cheap position, she can power home to take this.

OUR BONDI BEACH (2) might not have the numbers to get too inspired, but his runs have been better than the returns may suggest. Easing back from gate 6 to find the pegs last start from gate 6, he wasn’t t too far from DANCE FOR GLORY, which followed a sound effort from gate 7. Look for a sharper effort from the improved gate.

TYGAR (7) doesn’t have any favours from this gate, but if able to limit the early burn, he will come right into calculations. Forced to do some work in transit early to find position last start, he was strong to the line when only beaten a half-neck. He will go close again.

CHARMING MAJOR (8) was a winner from the 2^nd line here 3 starts back when continuing to press through and able to take control. With options as the lone 2^nd line runner, he can challenge.

RACE FIVE

3 heats for this Final were held last Sunday at Marburg where SCHEU CREEK (1) started from outside the front line in his heat and was wide off the track making his run to grab 2^nd. That had followed a 3^rd at Redcliffe where he was locked away behind a tiring runner but it was still a good effort to grab 3^rd. with peg-line benefits he can arrive.

STUDLEIGH WILL (3) shoots for a hat-trick after successive wins at the Redcliffe sprint trip and then the heat of this series. From the 2^nd line in his heat, he was in the right position to capitalise on a scrimmage that took a tear-away pair out of play. From this gate he will get his chance to dictate.

GETINANHANGON (11) will strip fitter from the heat run where he was 2^nd up from a break. Eased back from gate 5, he was making good ground in the latter stages to grab 3^rd and can chime in here.

MISTER DECORUM (8) might just appreciate not having to work in the run here, a role he has had to take up in recent starts. A strong Marburg winner 2 starts back, he will be probing for clear space to offer.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (9) was making his move in the big G1 Final last week and as he was starting to make ground, threw his chances away by getting funky gaited around the bend. His heat win 2 starts back was a strong effort from the 20m tape when 2^nd up and he can erase some pain of last week here.

MIRACLE RISING (8) was looking for short-cuts last week and closing out nicely to be within 4m of the winner WEE MAN TROUBLE. He hit the line nicely the week prior and will right in the fight in this.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (5) claimed a heat win 2 starts back when securing the right run in transit and then finishing best to take a 3m victory. Settling handy to the speed here, she won’t be too far away.

After 7 runs back this campaign where it just hasn’t gone to plan, MACHEASY (2) finally lands a marble and will have his opportunity to strike. Buried on the pegs last start at Redcliffe he was sound to the line and his effort here 3 starts back was a nice run. If he sees out the 2138m, he can take this.

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (7) has no favours from the wide gate but with from the front he can continue to press forward and issue the challenge in transit. A winner from the breeze after rolling forward from the 2^nd line here 4 starts back, he has placed his past 2 and will be in for the fight again here.

LIVING AGAIN (8) retreated in the early stages from gate 7 over the sprint trip last start and was closing out in nice style to be within 6m of DANCE FOR GLORY. With a cheap ride he can offer late.

PLATINUM ROULETTE (1) will find this a little tougher than recent starts, the latest against claiming company when not far from BIG BANG LEONARD. With the peg-line benefits he looms as an exotic inclusion.

SAINT KILDA BEACH (8) will find this more to her liking after taking on the stronger Members Cup and Bill Dixon at her past 2 starts. Snaring the inside 2^nd line for the 3^rd consecutive run, she can get the perfect trip. Not far away at her past 2 she can be ready to pounce in the stretch.

CHERRYS THE BEST (5) was wide and pressing forward to eventually find the breeze last week and worked hard in the run as the fav. Fading in the closing stages to be mid-field behind the in-form COLOMBIAN GOLD, she might need to roll the sleeves again here, but can be in the fight.

SOULWRITER (1) will appreciate the gate improvement here and with slippery moves out of the machine can look to dictate. Striking trouble last start, she will be gripping on in the stretch.

BETTOR BECAUSE (4) was buried away last start in a mares qualifier and with the cheap ride chimed in to grab the bronze behind COLOMBIAN GOLD. A comfortable Redcliffe win the start prior, she is in the mix.

DREAM TO SHARE (12) has the extreme gate to negotiate, but he should appreciate the return to this company after taking on the Qld Cup last start. Sent to the pegs from gate 11, he was last on the inside at the 400m and then weaved a passage to the outside and hit the line stylishly. With even luck in transit and the right tempo, he can arrive here.

BODHI TREE (3) was a winner over this trip 2 starts back when finishing best after securing the right run in a small 6-horse field. Eased back from gate 6 last start, he was just too far back and couldn’t make ground against the tempo. Settling handy enough here, there looks to be good tempo and he can make a closing play to challenge.

FAME ASSURED (11) was slammed with gate 12 in the Qld Cup and that was the end of her night before it began, too far back trying to make ground. Her run the week prior in the Forever Gold Mares was a luckless effort and she can chime in here.

IMA TOP TYCOON (8) will be relying on a rub of the green to see some space when required, but if the gap does open, look for him taking a closing shot. After a hat-trick last start, he was mid-field and he can be probing here.
