RACE TWO

STOKER ACE (8) was crossed early last start and then 1^st to break the single file order, quickly received cover for the final lap. Putting the bib in front in the stretch, he couldn’t see it out with THIS ONES FOR YOU fighting back to score by a whisker. Placed in all 3 to date, he follows the likely leader and today can be the day.

SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (3) is a Betterthancheddar filly on debut for Barb Barry and ranks as a half-sister to the handy GINGER MICKY. Showing that she has her share of talent in a recent trial, it was a nice hit-out when 2^nd to the 1^st up winner THIS ONES FOR YOU. From the gate, she has claims.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (1) has shown plenty of gate speed in both starts to date, just fading in the closing stages on each occasion. With the experience to call on over her other front-line rivals, she will be clinging on again.

MY CHINA DOLL (4) will take some benefit from her latest start when forced to retreat in the early stages from gate 6. With even luck she has podium claims.  While if the 1^st starter COURAGEOS SAM is able to gain entry to the contest, he can put them all away off the back of a very impressive trial. The Mcardle gelding from the Jack Butler team looks to be smart conveyance.

RACE THREE

LEFT A HURRIKANE (4) was game in defeat here 2 starts back when sent forward early and rolling the sleeves held on for the silver behind DATALDO. Rolling forward from gate 5 last start he again was in for the fight when 4m from the winner KYRONTA. The rise to 2138m is a query, but he can take this.

LORD DIGBY (3) has been to the track 3 times this campaign, with his latest outing when fresh from his 2^nd up effort. 5m away in claiming 3^rd when resuming over the 2138m behind OUR BALOU, the latest effort was sound when chasing hard for 3^rd to DATALDO. He is right in the fight.

REDS GOOD TO GO (5) will tackle the longer trip for the 1^st time and comes into this off a sharp effort last start when wide for a long way in claiming 2^nd to MUMMYS BOY. He hasn’t had much luck with barriers this term and can place again here.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) started fav last start but was unable to reel in the leader and winner KYRONTA. That followed a nice effort for 2^nd against more seasoned campaigners over this trip and he can chime in again.

RACE FOUR

After completing a hat-trick of wins all over the 1780m at Redcliffe IM BATMAN (2) was grabbed int eh closing stages last start when stepped up to the 2040m and starting a prohibitive odds-on elect. Back to the mile suits and pressing ahead to take control can look to dictate proceedings here.
 
IFYOUBELIEVE (1) added another minor to his tally last start to push his streak out to 10 successive runs where he has been in the top-3. Doing it the tough way in the breeze last start, he held on for 3rd in a last panel slug-fest. Grabbed late the start prior, he has options and can go close again.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (8) is still a maiden after placing in 8 of his 16 starts, the latest when going within a neck of the winner after using the passing lane. With the cheap run, he will be probing here.

STORM GILBERT (6) was only 2m from the winner IM BATMAN 2 starts back over the Redcliffe sprint trip and franked that form when cruising to a big 15m victory to break his maiden status. He has podium claims again.

RACE FIVE

BLACKSADANCE (9) started from inside the 2^nd line last start and was soon away from the pegs and sent to the breeze when the pace slackened. In for the fight over this trip, he was within 2m of the swooping winner ETERNAL PROMISE. A beaten fav the start prior, this looks the right contest for him to arrive.

MISS MONEYBAGS (6) started from the 2^nd line last start and was off and around them early. Doing her share of early work in the run, she was when holding on for the silver behind the clear-out winner THE DOORMAN. Arriving from the rear for a smart win the start prior, this is within reach.

KYRONTA (4) scored the 2^nd win of his career last start when sent to the front over the sprint trip and once in control took them all the way. Only beaten a head the start prior, the step up to the 2138m poses a few questions.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (11) was 1^st up from a spell over this trip 2 starts back and set a solid tempo in front when fading under the pressure. Scratched at the gates for successive false starts last time out, he has trialled 3 times in readiness for his return.

RACE SIX

ETERNAL PROMISE (1) was getting close to her 1^st win for the season, having placed in 3 of her 5 starts since returning this term. Off the 2^nd line at her past 5 in succession, she was able to finish best over the 2138m last start in claiming a 1m victory. With the options and benefits of the ace, she can go back-to-back.

LIVE ATOM (2) is on the back-up from Fri where he was sound in the closing stages to grab a minor. Releasing the front over the middle distance 2 starts back in a qualifier, he was able to hold on for the bronze behind CHERRYS THE BEST. From the gate he can fire the 1^st shot and is in the fight.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (5) will appreciate getting back to the mile here after taking on the 2138m last start. Too far back in transit, he was 4m from the winner after starting from the 2^nd line. He is in the mix.

SAMS A BLAST (8) will take good benefit from his outing last week when 1^st up in 5 weeks at his 1^st outing in Qld. Eased back from gate 7, he closed out nicely and with a cosy trip here can chime in.

RACE SEVEN

COLONEL JOY (1) did some early work in the run here 2 starts back when finishing down the line behind the in-form HARD TO HEAR. That followed a tough run when working overtime as VINNY CHASE powered home to victory. After a tidy effort on Fri, he can make the most of conditions here.

ARTHUR LOWE (8) started fav last time out and looked to take them all the way over the 2138m when pouncing on the pegs from gate 2. With the tempo on throughout, he wilted in the stretch in finishing just beyond mid-field. With the chance of an economical trip, he can take the snipers shot here.

JUMPING JOLT (2) hasn’t been able to go on with it in recent starts in Sat night company, the latest when finding the closing 800m a shade out of reach after an easy trip. He looks better suited here.

SIR JULIAN (6) is never far from the action and used the inside last start to chase home for the silver behind GOONLY. Not suited in the breeze from this gate 2 starts back, look for him swooping late.

RACE EIGHT

VINNY CHASE (3) started fav last week from the 2^nd line and after settling in the running line couldn’t pick them up when finishing 4m from the winner. Sent on a forward mission to take control over the mile here 2 starts back, once he assumed the lamp lighting duties, he powered home to a big win. From the front he will be hard to stop.

SOLE AMBITION (7) set the tempo over the 2138m last start from the ace and after setting the tempo of a 54.9 closing 800m, had to settle for silver behind the in-form KID MONTANA. A tough winner 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from the 2^nd line, he will be in for the fight here.

JAMES DEAN (1) will take some benefit from his 1^st look at The Creek on Sat night when chasing hard from back in the pack. Tough in the breeze at Menangle 2 starts back, he can secure the easy trip to rally a late challenge.

CHERRYS THE BEST (10) shoots for a hat-trick after wins at the mile and 2138m in her past 2 outings. Eased back from gate 7 last start in a qualifier, she had too much arsenal in charging home to a 6m victory. The gate hurts, but she can’t be ignored.

RACE ONE

MELPARK MAGIC (4) backs up from Sat night where he took on the McNeil Final and was strong in the closing stages in the big field. Placed in both heat rounds of that series, the 2^nd heat was a tough effort when facing the breeze and going within a head of the winner THE REAPER. This looks ideal.

IS SOMETHINGBURNING (8) has the talent, it all depends on if it can be extracted on race-day. Making a mess of things in the 1^st round of the McNeil, she was banished to the trials. Earning a return with a nice hit-out where she was sharp the last 400m, she is too big a risk, but is the danger if she gets it right.
 
EL SWAVO (1) should appreciate conditions here with the front tape over his preferred middle-distance. Making a rare error on release last start, with his normal safe start, he is in the mix here.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (9) has the 30m tape to overcome which is no easy task over the 2138m. Taking benefit from his latest start behind QUEITLY SPOKEN when 1^st up since winning the DJA, he can’t be dismissed.
