The annual Dawson Jockey Club (Taroom) Cup non-TAB race meeting scheduled for Saturday, September 24 has been postponed to Sunday, September 25.
Approximately 20mm of rainfall was recorded on Wednesday night on the Taroom racetrack, on top of 40mm previously in September, making the track unsuitable for racing on Saturday.
Good drying conditions are forecast for the next three days and there will be a track inspection on Saturday afternoon.
Due to the postponement, there will be no fees charged for scratchings from this race meeting.
Race times for the Sunday race meeting are:
- Race 1 - 1.30pm
- Race 2 - 2.10pm
- Race 3 - 2.50pm
- Race 4 - 3.40pm
- Race 5 - 4.20pm
Additionally, the club will stage a phantom betting at the racecourse on Saturday with full facilities available.
