Post-racing provision of water in raceday kennels

Racing Queensland has approved a procedure guiding the provision of water for greyhounds in raceday kennels, effective January 23, 2023.
The new procedure will allow for the provision of water in raceday kennels to all greyhounds after competing, (including greyhounds selected for post-race sampling) at the discretion of the dog's trainer.
Greyhounds are provided with access to drinking water at the wash down bays in the immediate post race period, and this new procedure will complement current arrangements.
Trainers and handlers will be required to comply with club instructions regarding the safe and responsible disposal of unused water and recycling of water bottles.
