Form Analysis: Marburg - October 20

RACE 1 

GETAGRIP (2) ran third two starts ago behind Monopollie at Albion Park in a race he obtained the leaders back trail. Last start he did the work outside Studleigh Anne and wasn’t quite able to reel that horse in. He looks the leader and the winner in this. 

NITE IRENE (6) got shuffled back last start and was making late ground in what became a dash up the straight. Looks to have landed in a much easier maiden than some of her last few and can figure in the minor money with luck from the awkward draw. 

ALWAYSMISSINGYOU (8) ran second at this track after sitting leaders back last start. She beat home the likely favourite in this race on debut, Getagrip. 

LUSTRE (5) trialled up nicely before debuting at this track recently. Was restrained at the start and doing her best work in the concluding stages. 

SELECTIONS: GETAGRIP (2), NITE IRENE (6), ALWAYSMISSINGYOU (8), LUSTRE (5)

SUGGESTED BET: GETAGRIP (2) to win. 

RACE 2 

BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (7) was held last start before hitting the line well once eventually clear. Drops back to up to 40 rating grade and should find this a lot easier. Should be thereabouts. 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (5) loomed up strongly last start and just couldn’t quite finish it off after sustaining a long run. Draws a wide gate again and around Marburg will need the tempo to suit. 

BABY GINNIE (4) got back last start at Redcliffe before running on strongly into fourth. This was a strong race for the grade where they rated 1.57.2 and she was not far out of the placings. 

DOLLARBILL (9) made an error last start and was left behind at the start. He is very capable when on his best behaviour and despite the poor draw would be hard to beat in this grade should he bring his best manners.

SUGGESTED BET: BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (7) to win. 

RACE 3

TAPTHEKEG (7) has taken slightly stronger company in his last few outings. He was able to obtain a good run last start one out one back but was forced wide early and just tired late. A similar effort would see him going close in this. 

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (9) was able to win three starts ago after starting from a wide gate he was well driven to land one out two back and proved too good late. He has since taken on two stronger races and looks to be a significant drop back in grade down to an up to 40 rating race. 

SHE DAZZLES (8) sat outside the leader three starts ago behind For No Reason and was beaten just 4.7 metres. She was forced to do the work again last start in a race they ran fast time at Marburg and she tired late but was entitled to given the mile rate and tough run. 

CROSSED LEGS (6) has been beaten big margins her last few starts but in fairly fast mile rates for this grade. She battled away for fourth after racing three back the pegs last start behind Fantasy Blaster.

RACE 4 

ALDEBARAN FONZ (1) was able to win two starts ago when doing some work in the run. He is very well suited under the conditions of the race coming off the front mark. If he can do everything right early he can give them something to catch. 

VOLTAIN (2) was well backed last start when starting from the front mark at Albion Park. He secured a good run in the race there and just finished out the placings. Looks well handicapped again in this race and with good manners he looks one of the hardest to beat. 

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7) has been in brilliant form this campaign placing on a number of occasions as well as scoring twice in recent starts. She was able to find the front last start and just got tired late coming off the 30 metres handicap. If she is to figure she will need to step away well to overcome that same handicap in this race. 

CALL ME TROUBLE (10) the handicaps for this race see him faced by what looks a big ask around the tight circuit if horses drawn off front marks are able to step away cleanly. He is very classy though and if any horse is to overcome the big handicap it is him.

RACE 5

GRUBSCREW (2) impressed three starts ago when holding second after sitting outside of a smart horse in Miss Crunchy. Showed gate speed two runs ago and was just crossed by a very fast beginner in Filly Thirteen. This looks a race he can find the front in and would prove very hard to catch. 

JAY TEE TYRON (4) won three starts ago after he was able to sneak in leaders back in the early stages. Did plenty wrong last start at Albion Park when hanging badly throughout. May need to do the work in this. 

THE TIGER ARMY (6) hasn’t had much luck since landing in QLD. First up at this track was shuffled back on the pegs and never got clear before having similar issues finding clear running last start at Albion park. Will need plenty of luck following a horse that’s been struggling for form. 

JUMMY BLING (8) sat behind Sporting Tristar last start at Albion Park and did well there to run second running home a quick last start. He faces a tough draw but he was a recent winner at this track.

RACE 6 

RIVER ROCK (6) lead last start in a stronger race at Albion park before tiring late albeit not beaten too far 11.9 metres away. His start prior he finished a similar margin behind Heavenly Wisdom and My Ultimate Louie at Albion Park. 

MY SECRET BEACH (7) was doing his best work late last start once eventually clear behind impressive winner Goodtime Cracker. Should get a decent run through early and looks one of the hardest to beat. 

DEEP REGRET (9) raced wide for a long way last start before eventually finishing off reasonably well late. If he brings his best and does everything right he may well just be too good for them in this race. 

DOOLITTLE DAYS (8) is a capable sit sprint type in this grade. She wasn’t beaten far at this track two runs ago behind Outer Change. 

SELECTIONS: RIVER ROCK (6), MY SECRET BEACH (7), DEEP REGRET (9), DOOLITTLE DAYS (8)

SUGGESTED BET: DEEP REGRET (9) to win. 

RACE 7

OCEAN LANE (1) handed over last start after working hard in the early stages to a horse that ended up tiring and dragging him out of the race. He finished off well once clear and looks to dictate early in this race. 

PERFECT FEELING (2) scored a big win last start winning by 20.6 metres. He was able to obtain the perfect run off a very fast tempo for the grade. Looks likely he could receive a similar trip in this race. 

ROCKINTHECITY (3) over raced badly last start before making a three wide move and being caught wide. Was having his first run for a month there should be better for the effort and with more luck this time can figure. 

MY ULTIMTE HESTON (6) has been in very consistent form rarely out of the placings the last few months. He gains a perfect trailing draw in this race and looks likely to get every chance.

RACE 8

LA SABINA (7) was saved up for one run at them late and was too good running over the top of The Harris Hawk. Likely to find it tougher running on at Marburg but does bring in some of the better form and shouldn’t be too far away from the draw. 

LULU LUCIFER (3) ran on strongly three starts ago not beaten far behind Jay Tee Tyron. Last start sat leaders back and couldn’t quite reel them in still running a quick enough last quarter herself in a dash up the straight. 

ROCKTIME (6) has been in great form in recent starts. Three starts ago he ran over the top late from well back in the field to score a big 9.5 metre win. Last start he made a move to get into the breeze and won well after doing the work 

TRALEE MAXIE (9) lead two starts ago and dominated that race scoring a big win. Won’t be leading in the early stages from the outside back row draw but does look a suitable race.
