Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club return to racing

11 April 2025

Racing Queensland advises that racing will return to the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club on April 20.

The return to racing follows an inspection by RQ and QRIC officials of the track and facilities following the damage caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The Club’s facilities sustained significant impacts after floodwaters exceeded levels seen during the 2022 weather event. Despite the scale of the damage, the Capalaba committee and its dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to restore the venue and return to racing.

Trials will commence Monday, April 14. For further information on trials, please contact the CGRC.

Amendments to the feature event program at Capalaba are as follows:

Capalaba Young Guns - 366m

  • Heats Sunday, May 4; and
  • Final Sunday, May 11.

Wayne Harris Appreciation 5th Grade - 366m

  • Heats Sunday, May 18; and
  • Final Sunday, May 25.

The Capalaba QGOLD events will be rescheduled on a date to be advised. Programs for April are available on the RQ website.
