Sunshine Turf Club back-up Polytrack meeting programmed

Racing Queensland confirms that a back-up race meeting has been programmed for the Polytrack at Sunshine Coast Turf Club on Sunday, April 6, in the event the club’s race meeting on its course proper on the day is unable to proceed.  

The track is currently a Heavy 10 and with favourable weather the meeting should proceed on the course proper.

In the event there is further heavy rainfall which causes the track to become unsuitable for racing on then, the Polytrack meeting will be introduced any time prior to 5pm, Saturday, April 5d.

The back-up race meeting’s program is:

• Benchmark 68 Handicap - 1100m - $28,000;
• Benchmark 68 Handicap - 1400m - $28,000;
• Benchmark 62 Handicap - 1600m - $28,000;
• Class 1 Handicap - 1100m - $28,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 2000m - $30,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1400m - $30,000;
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1000m - $30,000; and
• 3YO Maiden Plate (Set Weights) - 1000m - $30,000 + QTIS bonuses.

Deadlines for the meeting are as follows:

• Nominations: Thursday, 4pm;
• Weights: Friday, 9am;
• Acceptances: Friday, 10am; and
• Jockeys: Friday, noon.
