LONERGY – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Shifted out around heels near the 200m to obtain clear running. When asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance, Trainer R Hay reported the gelding is better suited over further distances, however when fresh has performed well over distances such as todays event and as such the stable had expected a forward showing.
