FRASER’S RIDGE – Raced wide throughout. When asked for a comment on the performance, jockey A Butler reported that he was unable to offer an explanation regarding the performance, however added that FRASER’S RIDGE would derive significant benefit from today’s run moving forward after being first up following a spell.

When asked for a comment on the improved performance, trainer K Hansen reported that the drop back in class proved beneficial in SWEET FANTASY’s chances in today’s event. Apprentice Semmens further added that the weight carried in today’s event proved detrimental to SIR ROCKET’s overall chances, however after having its first start since November 2024, the gelding would derive significant benefit from the run moving forward.
JOURNALISM – Slow to begin. When asked for a comment on the performance, jockey A Butler reported that in his opinion the weight carried was detrimental to the gelding’s chances as it was having its first race start since November 2023. LA PITTRICE – After becoming quite fractious in the barriers, resulting in getting its leg up over the inner barrier partition, LA PITTRICE underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the barriers which revealed a laceration to its nose and a severe laceration to its inner upper left thigh region. Subsequently, LA PITTRICE was declared a late scratching at 2:13pm on veterinary advice.
