Due to no available rider, SPITZBERG was declared a late scratching at 9am.

Race 1: BATTLE OF THE BUSH MAY 14TH QTIS Maiden Plate 850m
HIGH MAGNITUDE – Slow to begin (4 lengths). Trainer C Reid was advised that a warning has been placed on the filly’s starting manners.
Race 2: B2G VILLAGE LINE CROSSING PARTY BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 850m
IMPACTFULL MISS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
MARTINI MOMENT – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
TAHKIAN BUBBLES – Raced wide throughout.
LOVE MY LOUIS – Stewards permitted apprentice S Nielson to ride the mare 1.5kg over the handicapped weight due to no other rider being available at close of scratchings. Jumped in the air at the start and was slow to begin as a result. Apprentice S Neilson dropped her whip near the 100m.
Race 3: JORDAN LOFTS ROOFING BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1194m
CINDERELLA MAN – Slow to begin. Made the home turn awkwardly. Apprentice S Neilson advised that the blinkers on her mount slipped down during the run which placed CINDERELLA MAN at some disadvantage. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after making heavy contact with the running rail when pulling up. No apparent abnormalities were detected.
VALENTINA EXPRESS – Over raced in the early stages.
VITTHAL – Tired noticeably over the final 250m to be beaten 27 lengths. Trainer A Wilson was advised that a warning has been placed against the gelding for a poor performance.
MISS RINEHART – Stewards permitted jockey R Silvera Olivera to ride the mare 1.5kg over the handicapped weight due to no other rider being available at close of scratchings. Began Awkwardly.
Race 4: GREG MCCANN MEMORIAL OPEN Handicap 1517m
SVINDAL – Over raced and raced wide in the early stages.
STAMPEDE WARRIOR – Made the home turn awkwardly.
LADY TOWNSON (NZ) – Knuckled soon after the start.
CAVE DIVER (GB) – Fractious as the start was affected and dropped its head low in the barriers and was slow to begin as a result. Jockey H Phillips reported she dropped her whip as the start was affected.
Race 5: SOUND SANCTUARY AT THE VILLAGE BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1517m
FROZEN PRINCE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
LEICA BITA FUN – Slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start.
NATIVE BEE – Slow to begin.
XARELLO – Fractious in the barriers and reared on a number of occasions. Trainer R Vagg was advised that a warning has been placed aginst the barrier manners of the gelding.
MASALI RAFFA – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
BEN STARS – Gave ground noticeably over the final 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
