Race 1: WOODHAM PETROLEUM MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
FELONIOUS – Jumped awkwardly. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
SACRED STREAM (NZ) – Slow into stride. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
THE RATTLESNAKE – Laid in over the concluding stages.
Race 2: LANSDOWNE PASTORAL CO BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000m
BENTER – Shifter wider rounding the home turn.
MY COUNTY – Slow to begin. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
HOME CREEK – Raced wide throughout. Jockey J Babarovich reported his mount hung throughout.
A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SUNFYRE – Apprentice jockey K Lenton reported her mount put in an awkward stride soon after start and felt the mare did not respond well to the sandy track surface, she also stated the mare would bepr better suited over shorter distances.
Race 3: GERARD JOHNSON TRANSPORT OPEN HANDICAP 1000m
DISRUPT – Raced wide throughout.
SEENUSCOMING – Slow to begin.
JET STREAM – When questioned, apprentice jockey N Olzard could offer no explanation on her mounts performance other than the mare is more suited over shorter distances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
TO THE WORLD – Raced wide throughout.
Race 4: EE PARR MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200m
DAULAT MACHTIGKUDA – Approaching the 150m shifted off heels after laying in under pressure.
FANTWA – Slow to begin.
DIDN'T ASK ME – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
VALIANT JOAN – Raced wide throughout.
FINAL MISSION – Returned to mounting yard with a small amount of blood present in the left nostril. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the inside of the left nostril.
Race 5: BILL ROGERS MEMORIAL QTIS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400m
FUSAICHI FAMILY – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Laid in over the concluding stages.
When questioned, apprentice K Lenton stated the mare found the line somewhat well but is better suited over further distances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
