REPLACE THE ACE – Bumped with MOMENT OF TRUTH at the start. Jockey J Stanley advised that it was his intention to obtain a more forward position in the event, however after the awkward start he had to settle further back than anticipated, which in his opinion, proved detrimental to the gelding’s overall chances.

SWEET FANTASY – Jumped away awkwardly.

D'ESPRIT – Over raced in the early stages when leading. Trainer R Stenhouse, when questioned with regard to the seemingly improved performance advised that the mare was only beaten narrowly at its most recent start and may not have been suited on the firmer surface on that occasion and after being able to dictate terms when leading was able to finish the race off well.
