SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
Trainer C. Baker was fined $300 under the provisions of AR232(b) due to her failure to comply with a Stewards Direction in relation to the Traceability Rule under the provisions of AR297, and to rectify the stable returns of ten (10) horses that were listed in her stable and found to be subsequently incorrect. In assessing the matter and in determining penalty Stewards noted the number of horses with incorrect stable returns, the number of directions given to Ms Baker to rectify this matter, and the general circumstances of the breach including applying a penalty to act as a deterant. Ms Baker was advised of her rights to an appeal.
 
 
Race 1: XXXX STONE & WOOD QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (1000m)
 
HORNINC – Began awkwardly and bumped. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
THE UPRISING – Began awkwardly. Tailed the field throughout the early stages. Shifted wider off the heels of TENGUIN ANNIE near the 300m to obtain clear running.
 
KANTAI – Raced keenly in the early stages, Raced wide for the majority,
 
MINT STREET – Began awkwardly. Commenced to weaken leaving the 400m and finished tailed off. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey B. Newport advised in his opinion, the mare failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.
 
SILENT HOPE – Began awkwardly.
 
TENGUN ANNIE – Began awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide until obtaining a position outside the leader near the 800m.
 
Race 2 XXXX ULTRA BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (900m)
 
BAG OF WHITT – Shifted in abruptly near the 100m when not fully clear of TOSSIT which was obliged to steady and shift in, and in doing so forcing that runner onto MISTER. Apprentice C. Stuart was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a). Began awkwardly and bumped.
 
PENMAN – Bumped on jumping. Bumped near the 800m when HEY PUMPKIN was momentarily crowded for room.
 
BLERIOT – Momentarily tightened for room and bumped the running rail near the 600m.
 
MISTER – Bumped near the 100m.
 
ONE SMART COOKIE – Shifted in near the 800m when not fully clear of GOSSIAUX which was obliged to steady. Apprentice I. Jessop was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. Over-raced in the middle stages before commencing to hang-in near the 600m tightening runners to the inside. Hung-out over the concluding stages proving difficult to pull up past the post. Trainer M. Gavin was advised a warning would be placed on the mare for its racing manners.
 
MUIRON – Bumped heavily near the 850m and tightened for room when BALEXIA shifted in having to be steadied.
 
HEY PUMPKIN – Blundered badly on jumping resulting in Apprentice C. Lowe becoming very unbalanced. Bumped heavily near the 850m when MUIRON was tightened for room. Bumped near the 600m when crowded for room.
 
TOSSIT – Began awkwardly. Held-up for clear running from the 200-100m when BAG OF WHITT shifted in. Bumped near the 100m and steadied.
 
BALEXIA – Tightened for room near the 800m and obliged to steady. Steadied again soon after which momentarily crowded.
 
GOSSIAUX – Began awkwardly. Shifted in when not fully clear of dictating BALEXIA into the line of MURION which was tightened for room and bumped with HEY PUMPKIN. Apprentice T. Wheeler was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
 
Race 3: XXXX GOLD EASTER CUP OPEN PLATE (900m)
 
HANS DYNASTY – Blundered on jumping.
 
KEENZAP – Momentarily crowded near the 500m.
 
HOLIDAY DREAMS – Near the 500m bumped the running rail when momentarily crowded for room.
 
SOOPAT – Blundered on jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
AL PAL’S GAL – Shifted in near the 500m when not fully clear of HANS DYNASTY. Jockey J. Baker was advised to exercise greater care. Laid out under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. Baker stated that the mare weakened badly in the home straight and proved disappointing.
 
CAPITAL REIGN – Raced wide for the majority. Shifted in marginally near the 600m momentarily crowding KEENZAP. Apprentice M. Mankelow was advised to exercise greater care.
 
INVAHIR – Stewards acting under the provisions of LR67(1) issued a fine of $100 to Trainer Mr P. Webster for his late declaration of Apprentice C. Lowe as the rider of the gelding. Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4: SANTOS/ MPK CLASS B HANDICAP (1200m)
 
CONTRICK – Slow to begin. Tailed the field in the early and middle stages. Apprentice L. Sykes advised that the mare failed to handle the track conditions.
 
RELATED DUTY – Bumped on jumping.
 
LIGHT UP THE DAWN – Bumped on jumping.
 
MUMMIFICATION – Apprentice T. Wheeler advised the gelding was inclined to lay out throughout in the event.
 
Race 5: XXXX HAHN SUPER DRY 3.5 BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP (1640m)
 
DEMON DELIVERA – Bumped on jumping.
 
FOURTH POWER – Commenced to weaken from the 600m. When asked to comment on the performance, Trainer B. Newport reported that the gelding had to do some work early to obtain a more favourable position, however, may not have handled the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Newport was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record for the poor performance.
 
SAINT MARTIN – Began awkwardly and contacted the barrier partition.
 
VICTORY BEANS – Bumped on jumping. Apprentice T. Wheeler stated that the gelding failed to travel throughout the event.
 
LEGISLATE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide from the 800m.
 
VOLDEMORT – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
