Race 1: QUEST BREAKFAST CREEK QTIS 2YO FILLIES H’CAP – 1050M

CRAIGLEA EVELYN – Bumped by another runner and forced wider after passing the 900m and raced wide until approaching the 600m.

FALLEN FOR YOU – Overraced approaching the 600m and when being restrained commenced to hang out until entering the home straight and became unbalanced after blundering passing the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

ALCHEMY GOLD – Slow to begin.

MATCHLESS MISS – Broke through its barrier prior to the start being effected, quickly restrained, examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run. Raced greenly throughout. Shifted out after passing the 900m and raced wide until approaching the 600m.

SNOW DRIFTER – Slow to begin.

GRACEFULLY CHIC – Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start and cleared to start. Slow to begin. Raced greenly after passing the 800m.

Following the running of this race the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.

Race 2: CANADIAN CLUB BM85 H’CAP – 1110M

LAUTERBRUNNEN – Held up rounding the home turn.

FLYING RIDDLE – Raced wide from approaching the 600m.

THINKHESAURUS – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and until passing the 200m.

KUDERO – Raced wide throughout. Trainer B. Lockwood reported that the horse had been galloped on on the off foreleg.

HEART SMART – Overraced when the pace slackened passing the 800m.

Race 3: SKY THOROUGHBRED CENTRAL BM75 H’CAP – 2200M

CRAMMING – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and made contact with another runner.

MANDRYKA – Trainer S. Tregea reported that MANDRYKA had slow recovery after the event and advised this it was his intention to spell the gelding.

KAISER FRANZ – Had to steady near the 200m to avoid heels.

HALFWAY TO HEAVEN – Jumped awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have a poor post-race recovery.

WIMPOLE STREET – Bumped shortly after the start. Pulled hard in the middle stages.

TAMPERE – Raced wide throughout.

STAR FORMATION – Slow to begin (3L).

Race 4: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1050M

Correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to view the official video in consideration of an objection on behalf of 3rd placegetter AIMALAC MILLIE against the winner regarding an incident near the 250m. As stewards were not satisfied that AIMALAC MILLIE, which was hanging in, had obtained a clear run at that point, correct weight was semaphored.

JAM TOAST – Raced wide throughout.

TIBROGARGAN MISS – Blundered on jumping away.

FREQUENDLY – Raced wide throughout.

REDSSON – Disappointed for a run and had to be steadied after passing the 300m.

AIMALAC MILLIE – Held up rounding the home turn and was then disappointed for a run and had to be checked near the 200m. Laid in when placed under pressure after leaving the 200m.

GLOBAL RED – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: JAMES BOAG’S PREMIUM F&M 0MW H’CAP - 1350

RIGHTEOUS MISS – Raced wide throughout.

IT’S A THRILLA – Overraced and had to be restrained from heels when the pace slackened approaching the 900m. Made contact with another runner near the 100m when improving.

ZINDZELA – Improved on to heels near the 700m and when being restrained became very awkward.

VENECIA – Slow to begin. Lost its near hind plate in running.

WAR BABY – Slow to begin.

PEARLY CAUGHT – Steadied approaching the 900m.

GYPSY GOLD – Slow to begin.

Race 6: GIRLS DAY OUT BM85 H’CAP – 1600M

TRAKSTAR – Raced wide from the 900m.

MISTER BOOZE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

FAST ARROW – A. Taylor was fined $500 for using the whip more than 5 times and in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

SEA RED – Slow to begin. R. Fradd reported at scale that his mount did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be sore in both forelegs. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to its next start. Mr Heathcote indicated that the horse would now be sent for a spell. R. Fradd was fined $300 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

CASH ‘N’ STYLE – Raced wide in the early stages before being ridden to take up the lead passing the 900m.

SPUR LE JOUER – Had some difficulty securing clear running rounding the home turn.

NAUTILE – Slow to begin.

Race 7: NOVOTEL BRISBANE AIRPORT NUDGEE F&M H’CAP – 1200M

MISS COVER GIRL – Had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance passing the 250m.

TINA MELINA – Slow to begin.

ADORABUBBLE – Raced wide without cover.

DEFINE – Slow to begin. Overraced from approaching the 900m until leaving the 700m.

DOUBLE BANGER – Laid in under pressure in the straight.

SNAKE CHARMER – Raced wide without cover.

Race 8: SAMUEL SMITH & SON C,G&E 0MW H’CAP – 1350M

SINGLE SPIRIT – Raced wide throughout.

PIPPI’S PRIDE – Held up rounding the home turn.

SHOW DAY – Slow to begin.

ENDLESS PUZZLE – Raced wide without cover.

RECTIFIER – Overraced in the middle stages. G. Colless reported that his mount wanted to shift outwards when placed under pressure in the straight.

HOW CAN I HELP – Overraced in the early stages before racing wide and hung out from the 800m.

MARSHAL – Fractious in the barriers, became cast, removed, inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. Had to be steadied away from heels near the 150m.
